One thing I’ve always wanted to try is hooking up a satellite dish so I can see what signals are in the wild. This is a Ku band dish, about a meter in diameter. There isn’t as much exciting stuff on Ku band than there is a C-Band dish (those big huge dishes you all remember), but it’s more practical in a urban environment. I have a motor on this one so I can scan the skies looking for things to watch.
