I am fixing up my workshop in the garage and needed a way to hook up my Apple IIc to my network to exchange files so I figured setting up a Ubuntu VM running lrsz and using a WiFi modem to exchange files via Proterm would work.
While this worked great, I wanted to try this out by using Homebrew on macOS 26 to remove the overhead, and also, not to have to maintain a separate OS. Brew more or less worked the same way, and I was able to telnet from Proteerm and a WiFi modem to my main boxes to upload and download files.
