You have an unmodified Apple II power supply? It WILL blow up a RIFA cap. It’s not a matter of if, but when. In this case, I was working happily and I let the magic smoke out… and let me tell you, that’s not something you really want to smell. The RIFA is a mostly unneeded component, but I felt it was better to order a new one and solder it in.
