Sometimes taking a risk on an Ebay auction turns out to be a good thing. I ended with 2 Platinum 5.25″ Apple II Unidisk drives for $29 before shipping. Luckily they were in good shape, but interestingly enough they were marked “Indian Education” on the side. That makes me curious on what their previous history was.
After testing (they both worked!) and the standard Goo Gone treatment for the marking, we’re setting them aside for another Platinum IIe later.
